Lucy
Even after finishing high school children require further education or training to break the cycle of poverty. They need to go for either job training at a technical college or on to university for further study.
Lucy (see picture) is doing a course to become a beautician and is completing her on the job training in a salon in Malindi.

She is able to do this training thanks to the sponsors of the Spirit of Faith Foundation in Holland.

Daniel
Daniel came to the home in Ruiru as a very young boy. He completed his university education in medicine, did his intern training in the Malindi District Hospital and is now working as a doctor. He wishes to continue with his studies to become a medical specialist.

Peter and Jane
Peter Gitau was one of the first children to grow up in the home in the 1980s. He arrived with his brothers and sisters. After primary school and high school he completed several computer courses and is now a manager of many branches of Viafrica (www.viafrica.org) in Nairobi. He supports the children's home by providing on the job training for other children.
When Peter married his fiancee Jane, they invited all the children from the home to their wedding. They had their honeymoon in the Malindi guest house of the Blessed Generation children's home overlooking the Indian Ocean. Together Peter and Jane will build a future; education breaks the cycle of poverty.
